Pros
- I find that like yourself there is a considerable delay in getting a response back, something that AI firms have already surpassed with their "agent" models. Such as ElevenLabs, ChatGPT and Gemini. ... So delays are nearly non existent.
- Elevenlabs is as close to native audio as is technologically feasible in current year.
- Take the sentence and put it into elevenlabs (the free version is enough on the front page) and have it speak out on german. Does it sound the same? similar? Can you understand that?
- Also elevenlabs has on its homepage free usage - enter the word / sentence you are looking at and let it speak it in german.
- Go to https://elevenlabs.io/ choose german and enter the sentence "Ich bin zwanzig Jahre alt - und lebe königlich. Bist Du auf Platz 20?" Most of them are sounding really normal german to me
Cons
- Text-to-speech AI is, by fucking definition, not "native audio."
- I thought ElevenLabs was the leader in this space, and from my experience it's just alright. Very easy to tell it's an AI, which is you know...not great.
- I've been using tools like Google AI Studio and ElevenLabs to generate audio files based on text. It works fine if the text is in one language... In ElevenLabs you can set a selected voice for each word, but it still doesn't work for me,...
- Voice over clones (elevenlabs)
- If you have access to elevenlabs or something and can generate a natural sounding voice for each individual word, and some how paste each of the nicer sounding words to each card, I guess it could work?

I've been using tools like Google AI Studio and ElevenLabs to generate audio files based on text. It works fine if the text is in one language... In ElevenLabs you can set a selected voice for each word, but it still doesn't work for me, all the words are being pronounced in a French or in a Swedish manner.
