DeepL

Pros

• I'll look up all the words, look up any grammar points I don't know (this still does happen occasionally), run it through Papago and/or DeepL, and even ask Chatgpt to break it down.
• DeepL: Very good translator (better than Google Translate at least), it's better at picking out what the context and nuance is.
• French dude here. Our people can't speak english. Like, at all so you'd better download DeepL and rely on it a lot.
• I like using Deepl when playing games - it allows to use a shortcut to capture the part of the screen, OCR text and translate it.
• Whenever you ask yourself "How do I say this in German?", use DeepL https://www.deepl.com/en/translator#en/de/ to learn how to say it and click the speaker icon to listen to how to pronounce it.

Cons

• Deepl is a trash translator, probably the worst out there, full of mistakes and hallucinations (often worse than LLMs/Chatgpt). I really don't recommend using it.
• DeepL living up to its reputation. This is a great example of why people all the time on this sub advise not to use AI to help you learn.
• At least unlike most people who just ask for a word, this guy bothered to use a dictionary fisrt. A dictionary. Not Google Translate, not DeepL, not even ChatGPT, but an actual DICTIONARY!
