Pros

  • After a lot of research, I decided to move from a simple Delonghi (€140) to a profitec go (€890).
  • Delonghi makes good models too.
  • you’ll find your espresso machine is really easy to open and tinker with (this includes all semi-automatic Delonghi, Gaggia, Smeg, Casabrew, HiBrew and more fancy machines).
  • Anything with a thermoblock or “thermojet“ will heat up fast. Breville and Delonghi have several
  • Delonghi! Finally, I see a post on this sub that I can relate to. Haha I have the same machine as you! 🤘

Cons

  • As someone with a DeLonghi too, consider a new portafilter. The one they come with typically has plastic components😅
  • Check Delonghi out.
  • If you're already happy with the quality of coffee from the DeLonghi, I'm sure you're not the level of nerd that would care about the espresso, so I think it would work just fine.
  • Bambino, Gagia, Breville/Sage, DeLonghi. Just doing research for myaelf still and all these fit the bill but its more about the end result and i havent tasted a shot from all of them.
  • Budget in my mind is a DeLonghi or something... A setup $200 or less

Flair or Robot will make espresso that is **much** better than DeLonghi, provided you also use fresh beans and an espresso-capable grinder.
