Pros

  • A very warm taste of honey, salt and caramel. No peat, very friendly and warm. I like it, but personally i need peat😉
  • riffing off the Glenlivet I’d recommend the Oban 14 or the Dalwhinnie 15.
  • Dalwhinnie 15, the gentle dram. Costs 60 - great pricing for great sipping
  • I have the 15 and the Distiller’s Edition and of the two, I prefer the 15. It’s a nice sipper, smooth and delicate but still has some complexity. It’s a very nice and reasonably priced dram.
  • Dalwhinnie 15 is an excellent drop but certainly much more subtle in flavours and clean tasting then the others in your collection.

Cons

  • I found it a little "flat" although the honey and nutiness came through. I think it's a decent shelf filler but may not do the distillery justice.
  • I have mixed feelings about Dalwhinnie 15: I enjoyed it at first, but now it feels rather bland to me.
