Pros

  • Cotopaxi does have some non-clown options if you go with cada dia. no guarantees you'll like their fit more, but they have some nice options.
  • Check Cotopaxi. Everything they sell seems to be designed for height above all else. ... every bag they make is very long for the volume from what I can tell (but I do love the color options 😭 )
  • but in my search i tried the matado 35, the cor surf, pakt aer and the cotopaxi was the winner. felt like i could fit the most stuff and was the most comfortable
  • Oh man this bag is just friggin awesome. I'm currently on my 3rd trip with this bag and it serves me well.
  • Go with Cotopaxi because they are the original designers and try to do some good as a business vs Cor which is just a rip off of the Cotopaxi.

Cons

  • Cotopaxi - Waterbottle absent, also not a fan of the style
  • Apparently the brand is PITA to work with for small retailers too.
  • Really like Cotopaxi bags, but their unwavering commitment to garish color schemes probably turns a lot of customers off.
  • Originally I was going for the Cotopaxi but I can't justify the price so I found this as an alternative.
  • Have you ever used a backpack with a similar layout/design (divided 50:50, zipped mesh divider across the whole interior) as the Cotopaxi before? I tried a much cheaper bag the same organization before, and instantly decided it's not for...

Have you ever used a backpack with a similar layout/design (divided 50:50, zipped mesh divider across the whole interior) as the Cotopaxi before? I tried a much cheaper bag the same organization before, and instantly decided it's not for me, after my first trip using it. Reasons I didn't like it: - You always need a lot of space if you want to put anything in or out of your bag, and it's quite the process. ... I felt that this design is the worst if you want to slightly overpack your bag.

Plus unfortunately, for some reason, cotopaxis are like 50% more expensive in Europe? The 225 USD bag costs around 300 euro, so like 350 USD here.
