Pros

  • I like the slimmer profile of the T8
  • If you need a smaller light, I'd start with Convoy T8.
  • Convoy T8. Can use AA or 14500. I have one with the SFT40. Also excellent. <$18
  • I was just saying tonight that my new Convoy T8 with the SFT25R 5000K would be perfect for delivery drivers. It's tiny but mighty and it has a nice round hot spot, perfect for bouncing off house numbers.
  • It just so happens that the T8 provides you with a massive (relative for its size) 30mm reflector, the type of sized reflector that you would normally find in 21700-battery based lights. It makes for one incredibly high candela output fr...

Cons

  • If you're going to carry it in your pants pocket, I'm not sure that the T8 will be very convenient.
  • The camouflage of the T8 is so good-looking and different ... The T8 switch is hard to modulate. Sometimes I click the flashlight off instead of switching through the brightness levels. ... The T8 feels really good, but once again, with...
  • With how big a light the T8 is for a 14500, at that point it's much more convenient to just take an 18650.

It just so happens that the T8 provides you with a massive (relative for its size) 30mm reflector, the type of sized reflector that you would normally find in 21700-battery based lights. It makes for one incredibly high candela output from a light you can nearly palm in your hand and should be comfortable to EDC.

The T8 will be substantially throwier than the T6, and probably the best 14500 thrower on the market.

Hard to do better than the Convoy T8 with the SFT25R 6500K emitter and a Vapcell H10 if you want maximum candela from a 14500-battery based thrower.

The camouflage of the T8 is so good-looking and different ... The T8 switch is hard to modulate. Sometimes I click the flashlight off instead of switching through the brightness levels. ... The T8 feels really good, but once again, with my big hands, the tiny tail switch can be hard to modulate.
