Convoy S21D

Pros

• The s21d is a bit of a no brainer if you want it floody. With 519a, it’ll sit on the 35% for quite a while without too much heat problems and you can get a TIR with no real hotspot at all.
• oh yes. I forgot the d. while a bit bigger than the others. it's a quad that will put all the others in the shade for sheer output. I've been torturing one on the farm for years. it won't quit.
• S21d is smaller if that is important
• If it were me, I’d go with a Convoy S21D with 519a emitters in 4500K and 10 degree bead optics.
• Convoy s21d with 519a 5000 (very floody, up close)

Cons

• S21D in your choice of 519A and 8A driver. The moonlight level is not as low as I would like, but it's cheap and a good performer.
• But it gets stupid fucking hot on anything higher than 500 lumens aka 20% mode Yes even at the 35% mode it will get too hot after about 5 minutes
• It has been a workhorse light for me on the farm for years, though. It's cheap enough that I don't fret when I drop it in the mud... It still hasn't failed, but if it did, it's inexpensive to replace.
• S21d gets hot as fuck on both high and turbo modes The only modes it can handle are eco, low, and 20%
• Practically if i sit a floody TIR light next to me on the table, something like E70 mini, TS10, LM10, or S21D with beaded TIR - it is impossible to look at.
