Pros
- I'd consider getting a camp stove, too. If you can, going with a two burner Coleman stove is a good idea
- I used a Coleman stove to make the bacon dressing so I wouldn’t scorch it
- Well today I bought a Coleman Stove with 2 burners as my other single burner stove is getting old.
- I personally use a 5lbs tinny tank, and never needed a regulator on it other than what is already on my coleman stove.
- When Iived in a camper van I cooked in the counter with a two burner Coleman stove. It worked fine
Cons
- I'm obviously not going to bring my two burner Coleman stove if I'm backpacking.
- we found a place in Calgary that rented camping gear, so we rented a cooler and a coleman stove.
- We do not need electricity for anything else and use a kettle to heat up hot water for coffee on the Coleman stove.

Good tent with a full coverage fly and bathtub bottom. Coleman stove etc.
Parent context: Yes, I think that the larger tank where you can do exchanges may be the way to go, at least for the time being. I'm actually primarily a backpacker so I never dealt with this issue because I just had a JetBoil and the tiny Isobutane canisters, but I've been working on my car camping setup and got a Coleman stove for Christmas. Brings back childhood memories.
