CNOC

Pros

• I'd ditch the 3L res and get a 2L cnoc and drink from a smartwater bottle.
• Another vote for CNOC, but get the heavier duty one.
• Cnoc bags\bottles are good
• Cnoc makes some great collapsible water bottles that would be perfect for this. Very light, reusable, and can be smashed down and put in a bear can very easy.
• TL;DR—bring a CNOC.

Cons

• A CNOC is too heavy for UL backpacking: use a Platypus instead.
• I love the CNOC bag for filtering, but it's just dead weight when not carrying water. It's also too floppy to use as a bidet
• ditch the cnoc, use platypus bottles instead.
• A regular 1 liter supermarket bottle instead of the CNOC saves you 30 gram. The 1 liter reservoir is way too heavy.
• Our kit was spartan but safe: Morakniv, CNOC w/ Sawyer filter (see below for questions)... I think I stripped the threads on the CNOC cap by accident, because now it leaks a little.
