Pros

  • for routine i kept it super simple: gentle cleanser morning/night, heavy moisturizer (cerave in the tub worked great), and sunscreen during the day.
  • CeraVe in the tub saved my face when I had a similar breakdown - just slather it on thick at night and don't touch anything else for like 2 weeks 💀
  • Cerave in the tub

Cons

  • There was a point I got so desperate, I went to my local store and got the Cerave in the tub. Worst mistake ever because not only was that heavy on my skin, but it made my skin texture worse (and caused breakouts, go figure).
  • I used to use the cerave in the tub religiously but it never helped my dehydration and was too clogging. I check ingredients for everything and only use light moisturizers (ie vanicream daily moisture NOT in the tub, or boj red bean gel,...
  • I’ve tried amlactin, cerave in the tub, cocoa butter, I’ve tried putting on aquaphor and gloves…

I used to use the cerave in the tub religiously but it never helped my dehydration and was too clogging. I check ingredients for everything and only use light moisturizers (ie vanicream daily moisture NOT in the tub, or boj red bean gel, etc). Light layers are ur friend with this skin type. Stopping use of the cerave in the tub immediately helped my texture
