Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM

Pros

• Go with the standard RF 70-200 2.8. It’s big but one of the most compact zooms ever made and a joy to shoot with.
• You could also try to snack a deal on a used RF 70-200 2.8 if you are patient enough.
• I have three adaptors, a whole complement of EF glass, plus two RF 70-200 2.8's and a 15-35 2.8
• Parent context: For comparison, the camera above is the R6 Mk II withbthe RF 70-200 2.8 on. Reply: It's indeed surprisingly long with the adapter.
• I use my R10 together with R6MkII with the RF 70-200 2.8 and I'm much happy with the gear I have.

Cons

• My original RF 70-200 2.8 was so stiff I had Canon lighten the action under warranty at the cost of it slipping freely under gravity.
• I currently have an R7 and an R50 along with a RF 70-200 2.8 and the RF 28-70 2.8.
• The 70-200 f/2.8 is way too short for any predators one might encounter in Yellowstone. I also had the 70-200, besides the 200-800, and it was fine for bison, elk and moose.
• It's not a subjective thing at all. The RF 70-200 2.8 is $3,000 brand new.
