Pros

  • I liked the similar RF version specifically designed for video enough that I sold my EF version and bought that version.
  • Wait, the RF 70-200? Not the Z? Well lucky for you it’s a fairly small versus all the other versions of the 70-200.
  • I made magic with the EF mk2; I make magic with the RF. Maybe focusing got a little faster?
  • For what you wanna do important as well the glass, like a RF 70-200 will do good anyway
  • I initially thought about the EF but after renting the RF and knowing it’s a good bit smaller I pretty much wrote off the EF.

Cons

  • Yeah that extra 100mm lost is really going to be felt if you go 70-200. Soccer you’d want minimum 300mm.
  • Is it worth selling them both buy the RF 70-200 for my r10?
  • Though i do notice weight balance on the rf 70-200 was weird and i really struggled to pan with that because of it.

realistically, if you can afford it, the RF version is leagues ahead of any of them.

I also have the rf 70-200. I use the ef for desert motorsports since its sealed and older all that. And was cheap due to damage. I use the rf when i travel. I like the ef better.
