Canon EOS R5C

Pros

• The R5C is identical to the R5 except for the built in fan.
• Yeah, the R5C is great but the lack of built-in XLR inputs definitely makes things tricky.
• Early on before the R5C updates that fixed the power drain, bringing up the media playback gallery when idle helped preserve charge level.
• I’ve had the R5C for a day and dabbled with it and compared to the R6 it’s so sick the amount I can crop in without going below 4K.
• If you need a camera for unlimited video recording no overheating it has to be either the C50 or R5C

Cons

• I use the R5C on a daily basis and I think it applies to C50 as well. I think the core issue is same with R5C, that the C50 always downsamples everything from its 7K sensor regardless of the resolution or frame rate you select.
• This has been an issue ever since the R5 and the r5c. I did a review comparison between the r5c and the C50. As far as battery usage it's absolutely the same.
• The dynamic range improvement over the r5 is also pretty impressive, so that makes me probably stay clear of the r5c(It should be a bit better than the r5, but still much worse than the c70).
• The R5c also isn't supported for tethering in Lightroom.
• I don't want to equip myself with an R5c or C70/80 gun.
