I use the (much older) EOS R for a lot of the family and portrait work I do, and I find its 32MP resolution to be a nice little bump over the 20MP to 24MP sensors I've used previously, but it's not a *huge* difference.

The EOS R is a sharp camera, ahead of it's time imo, but I often find myself having to take extra steps to upscale cropped images or use Lightroom's Denoise when cropping makes noise more prominent . High Megapixel also helps when clients are looking for a super sharp video. Thank you for the info! Reply: I have both the R and the R5. The difference between 30MP and 45MP is really not all that much, both in terms of resolution and pixel-level noise. So don't expect miracles if you do go the R5 route.
