Canon 24-105mm f/2.8

Pros

• Now I have the 24-105/2.8 and it has a collar.
• As pure performance goes, the 24-105 2.8 is regarded as one of the best Canon put out in RF zooms.
• I would start with r5 mark2. And 24-70 2.8. Splurge option: 24-105 2.8.
• It’s my bread and butter for both video and photo work. I absolutely love this lens. I honestly think it’s Canon’s best lens. You can even balance it on a gimbal, because of the internal zoom.

Cons

• It's not small though and one can feel it's not comfortable to use as a travel lens (or can be intimidating to others bringing out a big lens)
• The 24-105 2.8 is way too big n heavy apart from professional events
• I would rather miss the one extra stop or take a prime with me than walk around all day with that 24-105 2.8.
• Too big, too expensive, too video.
• It's just that it's more expensive and heavier. The people who *need* it usually need it for reasons beyond the 71-105, like internal zooming and things that help with video. It's kinda-sorta more of a video lens than a photography lens...
