Pros
- I play sleep stories (Calm app) continuously throughout the night, and the eye mask keeps it dark.
- I have tried insight timer and calm and they were both very helpful. I gravitate towards insight timer more though.
- Big fan of Calm. I did their 21 days of Calm practice to build the habit and really enjoyed it. Helped me stay consistent.
- We use calm every day. I love the soundscapes
- I've tried Calm, Headspace, and a few others. They were good, but I eventually realized consistency mattered more than premium features.
Cons
- Parent context: I paid for Calm and was so incredibly frustrated by it that I just dumped it after like a week. Reply: When they brought in AI, I was like OH NO and then never opened it again
- I paid for Calm and was so incredibly frustrated by it that I just dumped it after like a week. It might be useful for some but it wasn't built for me.

I stan hard for Calm, but I do primarily use it for the sleep stories since I’m not a great sleeper.
I use the CALM app and I have the paid version but I believe there is a free version. There are LOTS of sounds, sleep stories, meditations, etc., I believe even on the free version.
There are massive players in the Sleep Noise category. CALM alone has 50million+ downloads, and most of the top 20 have 1mill+ downloads and 4.5 stars or higher.
