Pros

  • Yes definately worth a pitstop. Great alternative scene and lots to do and see.
  • Definitely worth a visit if you're going that way and have the time, yeah. A bit rough around the edges but still a really cool city with loads going on.
  • Bristol is a "real" city with a buzzing nightlife, great beer and music, lively counterculture, that sort of thing.
  • I love Bristol. It depends on what you want to do or see as a part of your trip. There are museums, a harbourside with bars and restaurants, lots of history, etc. I think it's well worth a visit.
  • I think it's worth it. But I like dnb, jerk chicken, street art, big boats, shit football and oddball hippy types, oh and planes.

Cons

  • Strikes me as more of a very cool place to live than a particularly great place to visit.
  • Bristol has a depressing theme.

Parent context: Bristol has a depressing theme. Reply: Are my friends and I morbid? Because we found Bristol’s concept to be amusing. I just think of it in a Monty Python-esque way.

Bristol is a winner. I've had success introducing it to a couple of groups. We usually modify the card drawing rules to maximize chaos.

I have Bristol and tortuga. If you have the right players and player counts theyre a blast. They do a good job of having simple rule sets, quick set up, but interesting decisions and drama. Can sometimes fizzle, though.
