Brick (film)

Pros

• Ich habe vorgestern ,,Brick" gesehen. Ich habe fast alles verstanden.
• Brick is the gold standard for detroit style
• I bought this thing called Brick and I love it for this. I have it set so when I “brick” my phone… all I can do is text/phone/camera.
• tools like Brick solve the same goal from another angle by keeping distracting apps blocked by default and requiring a physical action to unblock them, which indirectly pushes you to get up and move instead of sitting and scrolling.
• Brick, is a physical device. The physical aspect adds an extra layer of friction to unlock apps. You can set up routines to lock apps at specific schedules, it even blocks their browser equivalents (reddit app & reddit website)

Cons

• Don't bother. I've ordered it before. The difference between it and what you can achieve by mixing other cheeses is not even noticeable.
• The brick is pricey and it doesn't take a genius to bypass some things, even in Strict Mode, but, man, it's so effective for me. One on the fridge, one in the office. I'm more present at home and don't doom scroll while commuting. Highly...
• Brick is unicolor 🤣. How’s that not boring also.
• But you leave a Brick magnet at home on the fridge. You can bring a card anywhere, defeats the purpose if you can easily clock back in. So depends on how you want to use it.
