Assetto Corsa Competizione
Reddit take
AI summary of the Reddit excerpts below — not a quote
Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) is a premier GT3-focused racing simulator widely praised for its realistic car-to-road connection, high-quality graphics, and strong force feedback. While it is often compared to iRacing, users frequently highlight its competitive online ecosystem—particularly through Low Fuel Motorsport (LFM)—and its rewarding endurance racing experience. However, opinions on its force feedback (FFB) are occasionally mixed, and some players note regional population dips during specific time slots.
Pros
- Strong, communicative force feedback that provides a realistic sense of tire grip and road surface.
- High-quality visual presentation and immersive graphics compared to older simulators.
- Robust competitive online racing scene, often facilitated by the LFM (Low Fuel Motorsport) platform.
- Rewarding endurance racing mechanics, particularly on iconic tracks like the Nordschleife.
- Functional offline mode that allows for custom races even when servers are unavailable.
Cons
- Player counts can drop significantly during USA evening time slots, leading to a 'ghost town' experience for some.
- Mixed reception of FFB feel, with some users describing it as 'floaty' or containing 'fake' additions.
- High skill ceiling where new players may find themselves significantly slower than experienced racers even with basic equipment.
- Visual fidelity issues reported by some users, including outdated tree modeling and occasional nausea-inducing performance in specific setups.
Caveats
- Triple-monitor setups are highly recommended by the community for the best experience.
- There is ongoing community debate regarding the game's longevity and future update roadmap as the developer shifts focus to newer titles.
- The game is heavily focused on GT3/GT4 classes, which may feel restrictive to those seeking variety in car types.
Best for
- Serious sim racers focusing on GT3 endurance and competitive league racing.
- Players looking for a high-fidelity alternative to iRacing without a subscription model.
- Users who value strong force feedback and realistic car handling.
Avoid if
- You primarily race during off-peak North American hours and rely on public matchmaking.
- You prefer a more 'fun' or accessible arcade-style racing experience over a hardcore simulator.
- You are highly sensitive to visual artifacts or performance-related motion sickness in racing games.

Indeed, i have couple of hundreds hours in ACC and LMU, but I just accepted my fate, that every 8yo kid with non ffb wheel will be quicker than me, so I stopped worrying and Im just enjoying what I enjoy atm (F1, EA WRC, Forza, ETS2)
I love BeamNG and play it single-player all the time, but I only play AMS2 or AC/ACC for my online needs..
Its handling is definitely not as good as LMU or ACC, but it by far has the best variety and AI.
I wouldn't trust anyone that looks at ACC, Evo, or LMU and decides, nope, a radar makes those games worse.
I mostly race on ACC and AC LFM races, as well as Beamng and WRC 10 which i all thoroughly enjoy.
ACC doesn't seem to be as dying as many people make it look.
AC and iRacing are topping the most concurrent racers online with LMU and ACC following.
It’s definitely more on the “fun / accessible” side than iRacing or ACC
However, then some of my friends and I made the decision to take part in a 24h team race in ACC on the nords. ... It is an incredibly rewarding track to drive, especially in an endurance event.
Parent context: It is also paid dlc in acc, and iracing. Rennsport still is shit though. Reply: But there is a difference between launching a complete game and then providing a DLC for 15€ years later and releasing a bugfest with a day one DLC for 20€ with vague content "coming soon"
