Pros
- I swear by the BBL and recommend continued treatments for anyone who can afford it. Results for me were cumulative over time, not immediately obvious. I get three every winter and have done so for 9 years. All pigmentation is gone, rosac...
- I just had my second BBL session last week. I didn't have crazy results after my first one either although I did have some spots on my under eyes darken and flake off. Second session, they asked how I felt about the first and they turned...
- personally I only had one session and my results were so good my dermatologist said I didn't need another one for 2 years. Coffee grounds showed up around 7-9 days after the session and flaked off soon after.
- This is considered to be a gold standard laser 😕
- Microneedling with Sculptra, BBL, and Halo laser are non surgical options that will help with elastin and collagen stimulation to help bring some fullness back to those areas.
Cons
- Parent context: We are going to Cabo in April and they’ll do BBL for $265 per session. She was going to do it before we head home Reply: I’d be very careful doing that if you guys will be doing the whole beach vacation thing first (just...
- I had 4 BBL sessions and had no results - I guess some people just don't respond for some reason?
- I had one BBL session at the end of October (recommended by my dermatologist), and while I know they say you need 3-4 sessions to see a result, I've seen numerous videos and posts from people who got *some* results after their first one....
- Parent context: Pain level? Reply: Not OP, but I had an hour of numbing cream and oh boy, the first pass was so painful (and I have a high pain tolerance). The flashing was super super bright despite eye shields. Subsequent passes weren’...
- Yet another procedure with the risk of facial fat loss, so disappointing....

It’s really important to not have a tan, or recent heavy sun exposure for 2 weeks before/after BBL/IPL to prevent more hyperpigmentation/or even hypopigmentation from happening.

I swear by the BBL and recommend continued treatments for anyone who can afford it. Results for me were cumulative over time, not immediately obvious. I get three every winter and have done so for 9 years. All pigmentation is gone, rosacea under control, my skin glows, and I look much younger than my peers.
I just had my second BBL session last week. I didn't have crazy results after my first one either although I did have some spots on my under eyes darken and flake off. Second session, they asked how I felt about the first and they turned the settings up. I could definitely feel a difference and my problems areas (cheekbones) were swollen and bruised a bit for 3 days. I had a freckle on my brow bone that she zapped and it was completely gone by day 5. I'm definitely noticing a difference

I had one BBL session at the end of October (recommended by my dermatologist), and while I know they say you need 3-4 sessions to see a result, I've seen numerous videos and posts from people who got *some* results after their first one. Specifically the coffee grounds. I got nothing. My face was slightly pinker for an hour or so afterwards, and that was it. No coffee grounds, nothing got darker, nothing happened.

The results from BBL start to show quickly from my experience!
BBL made a significant difference in tone, fine lines, and redness but it didn't help with broken capillaries.
