Pros
- It has consistently been highly rated since it was released.
- But i think long term, WoTR, inis, brass will never not be up there.
- Parent context: Brass has this mechanic and it's amazing. Reply: Why it's amazing: how much money you spent determines your placement. It balances the game and adds an extra layer where you're really invested in what the other player is...
- Brass is determined by how much money spent in the previous round. ... Brass has this mechanic and it's amazing.
- Parent context: Okay, I might finally buy a Brass game if this one is good. Reply: I mean...the other ones are phenomenal already. What's keeping you?
Cons
- I’d love to have gotten some of the classics first like Brass, Dune, etc.
- Is Brass too hard to learn/teach? ... Brass was kinda tough, just due the the kinda finicky rules. I love the game though, and will play it any chance I get. My friends are less sold on it though lol.
- One of the main criticisms was always the extremely poor rulebook.

It balances the game and adds an extra layer where you're really invested in what the other player is doing in their turn. I am never bored when another player is thinking about their turn because it can always impact mine. Keeps me engaged the whole game.

We’re really into Brass and Spirit Island right now.
Tbh this is one of the best limited-space game libraries I've ever seen posted here. CE, 1830, PoG, C&C Ancients, Civilization, Pax Rom, OG Brass(!), bookcase Acquire, freaking Die Macher, and both Pamir and JoCo.
