  • The Ti is just perfection.
  • I also love the feel of the titanium in hand compared to my other SS razors. It just feels nicer and easier to use.
  • First stroke with the razor - WOW. What is there to say that hasn’t already been said about this razor? It’s an actual B-E-A-S-T, BEAST! Most efficient razor I have ever used, no contest.
  • If you want an actual premium razor, I can’t recommend the Blackbird Titanium enough.

The Ti Blackbird with a Gillette Nacet, my preferred blade, gives me a perfectly smooth and effortless BBS. No tightness on the skin level, razor burn, weepers, or anything else. It’s definitely one of the smoothest razor ever for going ATG if we take into account the huge blade exposure, which I actually like a lot.

However… I have to note one thing. This may be a YMMV, but I found that your technique and lather have to be PERFECT for this razor to get the most enjoyable shave. As mentioned before, there is a lot of blade feel, and if your lather is subpar, you will definitely get punished by this razor.

This is the blackbirds big issue … it’s not very smooth against the grain. The sharper the blade, the better it is, but it’s not what I would call smooth. It’s a great and efficient razor, especially for people that like a one pass and done shave (like me), but taking multiple passes, and especially against the grain … you have to know how to use it. It can be pretty rough and bite you hard.

The Ti version fixed that, and it is noticeably closer than the Aristocrat I was shaving with.

I thought I knew how to get a close shave, but the Blackbird took it to another level. I own 7 other razors and the Blackbird immediately became my favorite.

After trying it for a few weeks now it is absolutely incredible. The light weight feel in my hands, the texture and look. Everything is so premium.
