Pros

  • Black desert it’s constantly on sale, or like 2$, It’s literally a f2p game
  • Black Desert and Wolf Creek bookended a great trip we just got back from.

Cons

  • F2P, but P2W.
  • Black Desert is not free. You pay with your soul
  • It's one of those soulless games designed to grab as much money as possible from its players, whatever bad practice you can think, it's probably there
  • That game is so filled with microtransactions and the free promotions so regular that it's a pseudo-paid game anyway.
  • The character creator seemed really nice. I then only played it for an hour because it was dogshit.

I liked it and put about 50 hours into it. I do like the combat mechanics. There's definitely something missing though that keeps it from staying interesting. Leveling goes too fast in the beginning and turns into a horrible long grind after that.

Apparently it's pay to win (or pay to not grind your life away), so probably even worse.
