Big Agnes Rapide

Pros

• I walked out with a Big aAgnes Rapide even though it was 18 oz instead of 15.5 oz. Didn’t need another uncomfortable sleeping pad I will eventually just have to replace.
• big agnes rapide is the most comfortable, nemo tensor the second.
• Rapide lets me sleep like a dam rock so I’m ok with that.
• I own two Rapide’s - one for me and one for my wife. ... I like the Rapide. No issues in terms of quality across 3 seasons of use. Been stuffing them pretty hard into a heavily loaded pack too. Comfort is good.
• If I had to rank them I’d go BA, Nemo, Exped. But it’s close, they are all good.

Cons

• I’ve heard the Rapide has complaints of cold spots but my brother never experienced that, though he hasn’t tested it when it’s been cold enough.
• I'm pretty sure I have the v2, and judging by the difference between your answer and some of the others, I'd say it looks to sleep a decent bit colder than the v1 if that's what they were using.
• I started feeling cold on the v2 rapide at about 40F/5C on warm ground.
• I used it with a -6°C T-Comfort quilt(with all my layers on)(I am very skinny, so no natural insulation though). I am a sidesleeper. I felt the cold in -7°C(19.4F); I did not when it was -3°C(26.6).
• Mine had a huge clump of insulation at the foot end, very little to no insulation everywhere else, it was very noticeable if you just looked. BA sent me a new one!
