Pros
- BenQ W4100i is an awesome model with in-country support which is really nice.
- Yup, it lasts and its gotten great reviews! Even if you get the 4550i again it's still worth it by a long shot. One of the best projectors to EVER release in that form factor.
- BRO USE THE WARRANTY THEY WILL UPGRADE YOU TO THE W4100i (BETTER VERSION OF THE 4550i)!!!
- BenQ has the w4100i out there which is a solid unit with a LED light source, which is awesome. I would expect the w4100i to last well beyond 7 years with their build quality.
- BenQ W4100i
Cons
- main difference is brightness, lens shift, max screen size and input lag. if you're no heavy gamer, and your room is pitch black as you write, your screen isn't >200" and the position of the projector is already fine without extra lens s...
- The Good: \- 4k Pixel Shifting is a big improvement over 1080p. ... The colors are amazing, and I believe the reviews that say they're the most accurate out of the box. ... The additional brightness over the 8700ub ... is very welcome....
- The newer version of the HT4550i is the W4100i. I like Benq for Home theater, but the fan noise is quite high. I would NOT spend $3000 on the W4100i
- I recently reviewed the $3000 BenQ W4100i, a $3000 4K 4LED DLP. In another time that projector would have been considered a light canon. By today’s standards it’s lumen output is roughly average with what we’re seeing on the market at th...
- 4100 is single chip dlp as well, thus has rainbow effect, too.

BenQ W4100i
Replaced my BenQ HT1075 with a BenQ w4100i, picture is great.
BenQ w4100i supports it I believe. Retails for like $2700, if that’s within your margins.
What about benq w4100i? I don’t own it but been eyeing it for a while.
The W4100i is more of an overall upgrade, with improvements in image processing, HDR performance, and installation flexibility.

I would save my money, because then it's just a very small upgrade for a rather steep price.
