BenQ TK705i

Pros

• Parent context: That one thing the X3100i have over the TK705i. So which one did you recommend? Reply: I'll rather save the money
• Where this projector really stands out, though, is in its color vibrancy and excellent contrast, particularly when displaying HDR content. ... Overall, I think this BenQ offers excellent value for money.
• The $600 savings on the refurbished TK705i is huge, and it has native HDR10+, an extra HDMI port, and ultra-low 5ms gaming lag at 4K.

• To remove laser speckle, which is a common issue with RGB laser projectors, you can use a LED projector instead, like the BenQ TK705i.

Cons

• I have this projector and like it, but holy cow that review comes across as an ad. Auto keystoning is pretty terrible. How much did you turn the sharpness down so all pores weren't exaggerated and posterized?
• With darker content where black levels matter more, however, this BenQ is a little disappointing, as it isn’t really capable of displaying truly deep blacks. ... its black “floor” isn’t actually black — it’s more of a dark gray.
• The LED lighting of the TK705 eliminates any laser speckle. Reviews put the TK705i as a model which isn't a stand out from the pack though... Contrast though isn't phenomenal or a step up over the competing models.
• But, not the color coverage the H20 offers.
