AI summary of the Reddit excerpts below — not a quote

The Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream receives mixed reviews, characterized by a divide between users who find it a 'game changer' for a luminous complexion and those who experience immediate skin irritation. It is frequently noted for its lightweight texture and the inclusion of niacinamide, though its suitability for sensitive or acne-prone skin is contested among Redditors.

Pros

  • Lightweight and fast-absorbing texture
  • Leaves skin feeling nourished and luminous
  • Contains niacinamide as a built-in ingredient
  • Works well as a moisturizing layer over actives like retinol

Cons

  • Reports of stinging and immediate redness upon application
  • Potential for allergic reactions in some users
  • Does not specifically target or treat active acne

Caveats

  • Contains niacinamide, which may be redundant if already using other niacinamide-heavy serums
  • Some users reported 'freaking out' or stinging, suggesting a patch test is necessary for sensitive skin

Best for

  • Users seeking a lightweight moisturizer that provides a glowy finish
  • People looking for a 'all-in-one' style cream with niacinamide

Avoid if

  • You have highly reactive or sensitive skin prone to stinging
  • You have a known allergy to common Korean skincare botanical extracts
  • Your primary skincare goal is treating active acne

A couple of years ago I started using Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream for moisturizing and their sunscreen Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics. They were a game changer for me. I love them both, they are lightweight, fast absorbing, and leave my skin protected, nourished and luminous.

I just put it on and my face is freaking out in some spots turning red. It stings just a tad and I'm a little afraid of leaving it on?

Edit: after looking through this sub, I’m going to buy Beauty of Joseon dynasty cream, green plum toner, and green plum cleansing gel, and possibly try adapalene gel on my forehead where my most acne is. Any thoughts?

None of your current products address acne. You're also over cleansing - micellar water and cleansing balm do the same thing.
