Pros

  • During night, he will sleep peacefully in his bassinet. He drifts right off (sometimes has to whine a little) but no issues due to him being so tired and sleep deprived.
  • I love my co-sleeper bassinet! It’s so convenient to get baby out for middle of the night feeds and makes it easier to transfer back after she falls back to sleep!
  • Our baby is almost 6 months and strictly sleeps in her bassinet. It’s up to you though, if you plan to room share it’s definitely worth it!
  • My 4 month old right now sleeps in her pack n play sometimes but most of the time in her bassinet.
  • She also has no problem sleeping in her bassinet.

Cons

  • Our friends have 2 kids; the 1st loved the ridiculously expensive $1000+ bassinet and their 2nd kid hated it.
  • The first month, she was sleeping good in the bassinet. But the last couple weeks, baby girl has been only wanting to sleep on my husband or I. If we put her in the bassinet, 50% of the time she’ll wake up immediately, and the other 50%...
  • Hated his bassinet, total velcro baby.

The first month, she was sleeping good in the bassinet. But the last couple weeks, baby girl has been only wanting to sleep on my husband or I. If we put her in the bassinet, 50% of the time she’ll wake up immediately, and the other 50% she’ll sleep maybe a half hour in there before waking up.

I also hated the thought of extra stuff, but the bassinet was 100% worth it. We couldn’t fit anything bigger than that in our room anyway, but having him right beside me made nights so much easier.

My son is three weeks and luckily goes down in his bassinet well. It is very very easy to transition his drowsy self from my bed to the bassinet right next to me, he never even notices.
