• As for Basil Hayden, I also find it to be generally smooth, and I don't think it has a very strong or complex profile, but there are still flavors there. I think this a pretty good bourbon to start with because of that.
• It isn't inaccurate.. It's low proof and kind of made to be what you described. It's good for getting started/making cocktails. It doesn't hit any notes particularly hard but it isn't off putting.

Cons

• Yes, basil hayden is basically flavorless but inoffensive. It’s perfect for your first time trying to drink whiskey to acclimate to it without it tasting bad.
• It's fairly smooth to me, not hard to drink, but very mild on flavor. Is this accurate by other's tastes? What should I get from this. It's coming across to me now as a fairly easy drinker, just nothing spectacular
• To me, their stuff taste like a much better basil Hayden. Only reason it reminds me of basil hayden is the lack of finish on it.

• After the purchase I noticed there was a pretty big shift in the product. I didn’t really get “in to” bourbon as a hobby until about a year or two ago and have since learned more about the consensus opinion and have never looked back.
