Pros

  • That sounds fun, going to save this post and come back to try it for sure.
  • this is superb, congratulation and thank you so much.
  • This is a great idea! Should make a headphone leaderboard.
  • I’m gonna tear this shit up!

Cons

  • The placement of the sfx is random. What you're noticing is kinda the point of this exercise. Our ability to localize sound is not very good. It's meant to help people understand our limits.
  • Yea there's a tab in the Community Hub called Curated Rankings. It's a placeholder for exactly that. But we're going to need a TON of data before there's any level of confidence for that. This app would need to consistently have a few th...

Yea there's a tab in the Community Hub called Curated Rankings. It's a placeholder for exactly that. But we're going to need a TON of data before there's any level of confidence for that. This app would need to consistently have a few thousand visitors a day and record their stats I think before we can be confident in the results.

This is a really cool idea but I get confused when turning around because everything looks the same. It'd be good to have a stronger sense of orientation as to where front/back etc is, because as is, you can spin around quickly and you're not quite sure how far you've turned because there's no standout reference point like there would be in a real game (or real world environment).
