Assos

Pros

• I've not had this level of durability since the 1980s era Assos.
• Got Assos bib shorts and never had a saddle sore with them, even after >12 hours in a saddle on a hot day. It's not a hype - they were definitely worth it.
• I’m sold on Q36.5 now but still have a few Assos bibs.
• It’s a shame, because the kit is great — but this policy is a good way to turn a 40% discount into a 10% one real fast.
• I buy the $30 assos one because compared to most cycling related expenses it’s cheap and lasts me over a year.

Cons

• Pactimo is my choice. I've tried Assos, Rapha, Castelli, and others that I forget now.
• Same thing happened to me a month ago - I knew I was going to get hit taxes and duties but had no idea they were going to list the full vs the sale price on the customs forms. I ended up with a bill for duties and taxes of $76 for items...
• I stopped ordering from Assos directly when they changed their policy on duties to Canada. Not worth it now.
