Canyon Bicycles

Pros

• The best value for your money will come from bikes from Polygon, Giant and Canyon. ... Canyon on the more expensive side but nicer. I really like the canyon stuff.
• You can save a lot of money and get a serious upgrade with a new Ranger/ Colorado/ Canyon/ Tacoma/ Frontier vs a full size truck.
• Canyon: I know I get "more bike for the money" (no dealer margin). Since I have a service center nearby, this feels like the logical choice.
• My favourite is Canyon… but it’s not really Entry Level. It’s online only/mostly. Canton can be cheaper but for a newbie you kinda need to know what you’re doing.
• If you're just riding casually I'd highly recommend a gravel bike so you can ride wherever you want... You're probably looking at anywhere from $650 (like a Poseidon) to $1500 (like a Canyon).

Cons

• The Canyon web site sucks more than the other 2, so I can't check the components...
• Anything made by canyon is not really worth recommending imo. Nothing against the frames but more the customer service/warranty and proprietary parts that become hard to find down the road. And the adjustable handlebars are a joke
• I wouldn't buy a Canyon or a Scott. Both have weirdo, proprietary 1 1/4" headsets/forks that don't play well with most componentry out there. I've also heard nightmares about Canyon not having replacement forks... so if a fork breaks, y...

• Canyon bikes are online only. Plenty of people complain about them and their quality, but you can get a fair amount of bike for your money. You'd not have the face-to-face or aftersales service a local bike shop could offer.
