Arkham Horror (3rd Edition)

Pros

• I’ve played Arkham Horror which I enjoyed!
• Arkham Horror or Earthborne Rangers, depending on factors such as preferred aesthetic, availability, budget, etc. Both are fantastic Living Card Games

Cons

• 3rd Edition tried to implement a more narrative focus into the second edition game but essentially it's just Cthulhu Pandemic and absolute shit. I tried to love it and even bought an expansion in hopes it got fixed but no. I hate this game.
• 2nd Edition is the "OG". Every player plays an Investigator against a big bad enemy. The goal of the game is mainly to visit other worlds and close off gates... It's cool but too long for my tastes.
• after playing the 1st edition a couple of times, I never wanted to play it ever again. It was too long, and the narrative felt very awkward to me, since a lot of it was generated at random from events regardless of which hero opened them...
