ditch the AirPods. Easy to loose, requires a bulky case. Will you even be using them since you're hiking with friends?

Another reason is airpods, this is imo, hands down the best product apple makes, they're small, sound good enough, the noise cancelling is good, the transparency is the best in class and they're also good for voice calls.

I have thought about airpods a few times but I'd genuinely dislike being seen with an apple product, also I doubt their anc is as strong as I need. Add onto that the lack of support for android and it's a no.
