Amazon Frogbit

Pros

• I like frogbit, which is a floater because they do their thing and are easy to remove if they get out of hand lol.
• I sold frogbit 3 pieces for $5 when I was selling fish + plants, it was my best seller by a mile. Made about $100 a month just on frogbit, worth selling it if you have any kind of market in your city.
• Maybe some frogbit plants so they float the top and don’t take up swimming space.
• Best beginner plants imo -> hornwort, crypts, frogbit, any moss, pothos (dont even have to plant), amazon sword, and vallisneria.
• Frogbit is awesome. Give it time and try not to knock it around or splash it with surface agitation, and you’ll be good to go! It is slow to start and more fragile when you have just a little bit, but once it takes off it’s bullet proof...

Cons

• I have to clear out my salvinia and frogbit every two weeks because they block light to the rest of the plants.
• If RRF fail, try some other floating plants that aren’t as sensitive to moisture - Frogbit maybe.
• don't go with frogbit. It grows too fast and the roots will eventually go into your substrate if you don't trim weekly.
• Frogbit randomly widdled away.
• Frogbit is thick and much, much heavier than duckweed, and even with *that*, I can't imagine getting anywhere near a kg of frogbit, even if the surface of my 60 gallon breeder tank was entirely covered with frogbit.
