Amazon Echo Show

Pros

• Ok so a smart speaker with a screen. Like an echo show.
• On the other hand, an Echo Show with setup ability to video drop in without requiring acknowledgement can be very effective to check in from the outside. The video of your face on the display is much more reassuring than a disembodied vo...
• We use an echo show so I can drop in and have video visits easily.
• I use alexa, dot, show, etc.. to control most of my lighting, including outdoor, turn on my coffee maker from bed.

Cons

• The app is pretty straightforward and connects natively with Alexa - if they have an echo or echo show, they can view and respond to their cameras directly from that pretty easily.
• The bullshit games Amazon uses her to play have made my echo show get worse and worse.
• Go with Echo Dot or Show
• The Echo Show is only acceptable if you are okay with it constantly rotating ads on the screen while you're not interacting with it. Otherwise get yourself a cheap tablet.
• Patched the sheetrock, and plugged an Echo show into the plug.
