- Cons: Output on AA is uselessly low so it's not really a dual fuel option. And I don't think the strap will be as reliable as the Petzl's, the rubber loops seem like they might get brittle after spending a lot of time outdoors.

Acebeam H16 should be fine, or you can look for the others here. Since you want to keep it in a car, a right angle flashlight with a magnetic tailcap might be handy to stick it with a car body in case you need to.
