The HR tracking is better than the vivoactive and, in general, it’s a more engaging device with its morning summary of where you’re at in your exercise readiness and review of how you slept.

I got the 955 solar as an upgrade from the vivoactive. I’m very happy with it. It’s not too large like some of the more expensive ones (Fenix comes to mind) and I put it on charge while I’m showering - the battery hasn’t dropped below 90% and estimates 15 days of battery life.
