U could also consider a 24-70 2.8 RF and a 70-200 f4 (super hikeable)

def upgrade the lens first! that 75-300 is notoriously soft and your wife will see way more improvement with something like a 70-200 f4 than a new body with the same blurry lens.

Also later on the 70-200 f4 might be a good purchase. Nice quality and decent low light performance

Parent context: I’ve heard mixed opinions on the 1.4x with the f4 Reply: I never hesitate to use the 1.4 on it. Probably even better on the mark 2 as well.
