Sunspel is pretty slept on imo. A UK heritage brand that stays under the radar because it’s not about hype or loud logos. Instead, focusing on timeless, low key design and very high quality. Most of their stuff is made in the UK or EU. My favourite is their insanely soft Pima cotton tees, their riviera polos, merino knits and chinos. Their underwear is very good too!

If you even mention the phrase “tumble dry” around sunspel clothes they shrink. But I do like them. Super comfortable and high quality

Charles Tyrwhitt is widely regarded on Reddit as a premier value brand for professional attire, specifically dress shirts. It is frequently recommended for its '3 for $100' (or similar) promotional deals, which users suggest offer a price-to-quality ratio that is difficult to beat for daily office wear. While the brand is praised for its extensive range of fits and customization options, some users have noted concerns regarding fabric transparency and a perceived slight dip in quality over recent years.

Pros

  • Exceptional value when purchased via recurring '3 for $99' or '3 for $100' deals
  • Extensive variety of fits, collar styles, and specific sleeve lengths
  • Sturdy 'workhorse' shirts that generally resist shrinkage and heavy wear
  • Highly regarded linen shirts and hidden button-down polos

Cons

  • Some white dress shirts are reported to be thin or see-through
  • Perceived decline in construction quality compared to previous years
  • Sizing consistency and durability may occasionally fall short of more expensive competitors

I just got one from CT last week in ocean blue. Wore it to work earlier this week. Got flirty compliments. Quality seems fine to me. I like it better than Banana Republic's linen shirt. CT fabric doesn't feel as rough.

Depending on what you mean by budget and mid-tier, Uniqlo, Quince, Charles Tyrwhitt, Banana Republic and J.Crew are all good places to look at
