The amount of companies that have come out in the past few years (Smithey, Stargazer, Field, etc.) that sell pans only marginally better than Lodge while charging 5x the price is baffling.

Didnt ask for this but a cast iron pan by lodge. It was $9 at target couple years ago. 0 regrets
Lodge cast iron pan. I use it daily and it’s as good as new. Cost probably less than USD50.
saw a post on here from someone who just bought their first lodge cast iron pan.
It's definitely worth it, any old one you find will probably need more work than this one. And sure you could go buy a new one, but Lodge cooks great, and personally I think free cast iron is always the best cast iron.
My 12 inch lodge is my daily, I didn't have to season it before using it either. Rinse, dry, rub with oil.
