AI summary — not a quote

The Soundcore A30s are specialized sleep earbuds distinguished by the inclusion of Active Noise Canceling (ANC), a rare feature in this category. While users frequently praise their compact design and comfort for side sleepers, the actual performance of the ANC is polarizing. Many find it helpful for general background noise, but others describe it as insufficient for loud snoring. Software stability and battery life—particularly when ANC is active—are the primary points of contention among reviewers.

Pros

  • Compact and comfortable design suitable for side sleepers
  • Includes Active Noise Canceling (ANC), which is uncommon for sleep-specific buds
  • Robust sound library with the ability to layer multiple sounds for customization
  • Generally positive reputation for Anker/Soundcore customer support

Cons

  • Inconsistent ANC performance that may fail to block heavy snoring
  • Battery life is often insufficient to last the full night when ANC is enabled
  • Reported software bugs, including issues with Bluetooth connectivity and gesture controls
  • Higher price point compared to the previous A20 model without a perceived proportional upgrade in value

I've been using the A30s since they got here. No complaints or issues with those so far. I sleep exclusively on my sides.

But if you can stand combining some sort of earbuds (I like the A20s, and the new A30s are probably better, but those are both more expensive than you want)

After the update they really aren't bad for general background noise. I put them on before bed and lay on the couch as my spouse is watching tv at a normal volume and it is all very muted. It helps me relax in general.

I have the Soundcore A30s and in this case I do use the app to load a noise track to the earbuds. ... I usually wake up with 10-20% battery left after playing local audio for 8+ hours with ANC enabled (which also consumes power). ... The ANC isn't super strong, like my big Sony cans, but it makes a noticeable difference.

I have Soundcore A30s and they honestly have changed my life. I created my own background sounds from their software and have downloaded them into the earbuds with brown and green noise which effectively blocks out my spouse's snoring, and blocks out other noises as well

I use Sleepphones, and often use earplugs with them.

Sleepphones are good, I'd recommend the fleece headband and get both a large and medium sized headband so the earpads don't move around, small is really tight unless you have a tiny head. I didn't find the other material comfortable but the fleece is very comfortable.

I’ve done some looking online at brand like sleepphones and musicozy, but reviews on Amazon seem to be mixed.
