The Somnipods do feel really nice. But their sound loops are shit

Parent context: I'll stick to my SomniPods Reply: Yeah, they’re actually pretty good. The looping sounds aren’t great, though, so I only use them in Bluetooth mode.

SomniPods are cheaper and also offer EQ and ANC

SomniPods support ANC, but I’ve heard that their sleep sounds are looped. I usually stream music and podcasts over Bluetooth, though, so that doesn’t really bother me.

I use the SomniPods, and honestly, they’re a great product if you don’t use Sleep Mode. I usually stream audio over Bluetooth-the noise cancellation is excellent, and the battery life is great too.

AI summary — not a quote

The Ozlo Sleepbuds are widely regarded as the spiritual successor to the Bose Sleepbuds, designed by former Bose engineers. They are highly praised for their low-profile design and comfort for side sleepers, but the user experience is significantly marred by reports of technical glitches, including connectivity drops and charging failures. While many users find the audio quality and noise-masking effective, the premium price tag makes the frequent hardware and software issues a major point of contention.

Pros

  • Excellent comfort for side sleepers due to a very low-profile design.
  • Capable of streaming external audio, a significant upgrade over the original Bose Sleepbuds.
  • High-quality stereo sleep sounds that feel natural and effective at blocking noise.
  • Generally stays secure in the ear throughout the night once the correct tip size is found.

Cons

  • Frequent technical issues, specifically buds disconnecting or failing to sync with the case.
  • High price point (around $300) that users feel is not justified by the current reliability.
  • Reports of hardware failure or the units 'dying' within the first year of use.
  • Customer support response times can be slow, according to some users.

That said, I still prefer the Ozlo when it comes to overall comfort. I also found its built-in sounds and the way it automatically transitions from streaming audio to masking sounds to feel more polished and seamless.

I can't adjust the volume on my Ozlos without finding my phone AND my glasses, lighting up the whole room with phone screens, finding the app and fiddling with settings. By then I'm thoroughly annoyed and wide awake.

Ozlo is the most comfortable of the three for me. The earbuds are incredibly light, and I can sleep on my side without much ear pain. ... The downside is that they don’t have ANC. They mainly rely on the ear tips for passive isolation and use masking sounds to cover whatever remains. ... Ozlo also doesn’t support wireless charging or have a proper Find My Device feature. I’ve experienced occasional connection drops

I use Ozlo sleepbuds and absolutely love them! My neighbor has a loud truck that he starts at 3am every morning and it was genuinely making me miserable. ... With the sleepbuds it doesn’t wake me up anymore. ... I sleep on my side and don’t feel them at all. They’re very comfortable.

Parent context: I'm pretty sure Ozlos don't have ANC, unless it's a recent addition. They do fit fairly snugly in the ear and will block a lot of ambient noise. Reply: Yeah that was my bad. I think you’re right on that. I have mine set up to play auto sleep sounds & since they fit so snug i figured they have it, but yeah you’re right they don’t; but it’s not a big deal they still block out a majority of the environment
