The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 is highly regarded as a premium Android tablet, praised for its flagship-grade OLED display and the inclusion of the S Pen. While it is a powerhouse for media consumption, gaming, and digital art, users frequently caution that it cannot fully replace a laptop for professional office work due to software limitations in mobile productivity apps.

Pros

  • High-quality Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
  • S Pen is included in the box at no additional cost.
  • Excellent gaming performance, capable of running demanding titles like Genshin Impact smoothly.
  • Long-term software support expected until approximately 2028.

Cons

  • Mobile versions of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) are 'watered down' and lack desktop-class features and shortcuts.
  • Aggressive Auto Brightness Limiting (ABL) can cause noticeable dimming on bright white webpages.
  • Android OS constraints make it clunky for heavy multitasking or complex data sheets.

If you want something that has a stylus, a Samsung tab S9+ or S10 Fe would fit your budget for starting out

I use the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 + official keyboard + mouse. For actual workload, I'd rather carry my 2.2 kg gaming laptop, tbh, than my tablet.

My friend and I used an iPad Air and a Tab S9 at school because we were too lazy to carry a laptop a couple of times, and both were as clunky with smaller Excel sheets and smaller Word documents. Okay enough for basic use, but for school work all the time? Hell no.

I used an older borrowed midrange HP laptop for my internship over my new Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 for Office work, as Adnroid isn't able to run huge Excel data sheets or very big Word documents, functions in Excel are missing, Word doesn't have all the lay-out options lacks shortcuts, PowerPoint lacks things, etc.

I personally love the regular S9 because of the OLED screen!

The Xiaomi has a better display, charges faster, has more RAM, a better sound system, and is more customizable overall.

I'm using a Xiaomi pad 7, I think is a really cool tablet. For the writing I use the regular notes app, it understand my writing perfectly and I have a very ugly writing style.

For studying purposes that is lightweight not gaming related iPad is best and also it will last longer than Xiaomi and stylus support is also better than the Xiaomi even with an after market stylus[~₹2000].

I can't decide between pad 7's better display or pad 2 pro's bigger screen and better ratio for media.
