I have a directory full of mp3 files (sorted in typical Artist>Album>SongName form) on my desktop (both Ubuntu and MacOS available) and am eager to load them onto Musicolet or Poweramp on my Android 13 device
Poweramp does give you far more freedom EQ wise but I feel like limiting yourself sometimes is better for not overcomplicating things.
I really wish this feature was implemented in all music players available for Android. Too many good music players that I like the layout of that don't have anything like this added to it.
I've moved on to an iPhone, but I use PowerampEQ on my Android DAP every day.
i once bought the paid version of PowerAmp, and i've never searched for any alterantives since then

I have Exit app forced UI + exit download service checked. It just kills the app after finishing the downloads, but mess around and see which is best for your needs. Hope this helps as it's a great app.
I use 1DM from the play store, it's built in browser is great and fast DL speeds.
