PikaOS vs Ultramarine Linux

PikaOS is good, if you don’t like rolling release I’d go with mint or Pop.

The kernel has some pretty aggressive optimization, may even have a slight performance edge over the CachyOS kernel. Debian sid will give you a more steady flow of updates, not quite as bleeding edge as an arch based distro but not far behind. You also will have the pikman package manager which draws from Debian, arch, fesora, and alpine repositories.

If you prefer something ready to game right after install and dispense from the above, Cachy (Arch-based) or PikaOS (based on Debian, same modified kernel as Cachy).

PikaOS is as fast as Cachy, but based on Debian. Also a rolling release, but updates a little slower than Cachy.

Otherwise, Fedora, PikaOS are quite stable.

I've been using Ultramarine Gnome for several years now, and I've really liked it.

Bazzite and Ultramarine are both distros based on Fedora that work well with games and day to day stuff in general.

Ultramarine if you want it setup out of the box.
