- Excellent value for budget-conscious shoppers, especially during sales.
- Strong selection of tall, long-inseam, and maternity sizes.
- Reliable source for workwear basics and athletic gear.
- Good entry-level brand for testing new styles before investing in premium pieces.
Cons
- Inconsistent fabric quality; some items like joggers are reported as very thin.
- Susceptibility to shrinkage after washing, particularly with shirts.
- Sizing issues in specific lines, such as curvy or postpartum denim where waist-to-thigh ratios may not fit well.
- Style palette is often described as limited to boring or neutral colors.

My 2 favorite stores are American Eagle and Old Navy so I’ve gotten some stuff on sale there.
one I got from Old Navy lasted me about ten times longer.
My favorite sweaters in the last few years have been from… Old Navy! I recently got a 100% cotton oversized cardigan from them and as I’m traveling in the southern hemisphere (it’s winter here) I’ve worn it almost every day this month. It’s washed well.
Old Navy. I love their basics and the fact that they have petite sizing!
Old Old Navy is SO good. I have a 100% cotton ON denim button down dress I thrifted with hidden buttons to ensure no gapping at the top. With pockets!! They just don’t make them like they used to.

Look at Naturalizer or aerosole. Try to get them on sale since it seems like they have sales a lot.
Naturalizer has served me pretty well TBH but the quality isn't great.
I second the Naturalizer suggestion but double check if the boots are leather or synthetic. They offer both but you don’t want to assume. Their wide calf should be fine.
Born and Naturalizer are all the ones I have.
Seconding Naturalizer, very good brand!
