AI summary — not a quote
iRacing is widely considered the premier platform for competitive online sim racing, valued for its robust matchmaking and professional environment. While it excels at providing structured, skill-based competition and realistic practice for real-world tracks, it is frequently criticized for its high cost and a subscription model that restricts access to purchased content if the membership lapses.
Pros
- Highly effective skill-based matchmaking that groups drivers of similar abilities
- Opportunities to race on the same servers as professional drivers
- Excellent performance in VR, specifically noted on Meta Quest 3
- Valuable tool for practicing real-world tracks and honing driving skills
Cons
- Expensive pricing structure requiring both a subscription and individual car/track purchases
- Purchased content becomes inaccessible if the monthly subscription is not maintained
- Inflexible racing schedules that may not allow users to race specific cars or tracks at will
- Occasional 'brutal' matchmaking splits where skill gaps between drivers can be significant

Don't get me wrong, iR is still the best platform for online racing. Though I think it's more time/money eifficent for me to hone my skills in LMU.
I guess I’ll need to extend my iracing plan now
That's one thing iRacing does best. Bringing the big players to the same servers as us mere mortals.
I had this happen in a GT3 race at Suzuka on iRacing last night. Passed a guy going into Spoon on the last lap, he tried to Senna me at the chicane.
iRacing doesn't let you race out of cockpit view anyway.

i don’t really like golf icl
Golf continues to be the only sports game on Game Boy worth playing.
Golf. Or if you want a sedan, Alfa Giulia
this is where I break the trend and say this is a sports game on Game Boy I actually like and would recommend. ... Still, it's a good game. I don't think it resembles actual golf very much (which, to be fair, I haven't played in fifteen years), but it's a fun little game. 8/10
