HyPURGel vs SleepEZ

Ideally I'd like to keep the Serene > Hypurgel comfort layer, though I can live without. I really like this combo. I feel like the hypurgel airiness saves the serene from getting too hot. They aren't too temperature responsive and they feel oddly supportive and soft.

HypurGel adds a buoyant, cooler feel but won’t match memory foam’s deep cradle-great as a thin top layer if you hate the stuck feel.

It's good stuff. I use it in my DIY. The cooling effect is subtle at best. I think it's very supportive and conforming, but it doesn't make up for having the wrong mattress core.

There are plenty of temperature-neutral polyfoams like Serene and HyPURgel that don't suffer from the heat sink issue traditional memory foam has.

there's also HyPURgel, that should be more durable than conventional polyfoam

Luckily I live in AZ where I was able to go to the SleepEZ showroom to try out a few of the latex builds. I probably spent like 30 minutes trying different firmness and dunlop/talalay combinations, and my favorite was 3 inch firm dunlop / 3 inch medium dunlop / 3 inch medium Talalay bottom to top.
