Gossamer Gear Loris 25 vs KS50 pack

I’ve switched to the Gossamer Gear Loris 25 for that niche. It’s 18” tall like the Trail 25 and has a fold top to allow expansion to 22” as an ultralight overhead bag (or more gear and groceries on arrival). I like the shoulder strap pockets.

My next trip is with a Gossamer Gear Loris 25 that is a fold top design that will extend from 18” to 22”. That could stop any requests to stow it under a seat.

If you get a chance, take a look at the Gossamer Gear Loris 25. It can extend to 55cm tall when you need it.

My new ultralight alternative is the Gossamer Gear Loris 25 that is just 553g and $135 retail. The folding top design will allow to expand to 22” tall for overhead use.

My wife and I just got a couple of KS50 packs made to our specs, and they're phenomenal. My pack weighs 20.2oz with the back pad, frame stays, and luxury features installed, and 16.2oz stripped down for fast hiking.

the KS50 with a complete frame set starts at $180 before shipping and weighs just 16 oz.

I guess you can get a pretty light ks50, but I've a hard time with that website

I also have the KS50 as my regular hiking pack (frameless but with a garden pad used in the sleeves for stability).
